Beware illegal settlers

  Top ranked police and civil officials decided to firmly deal with the illegal settlers in Doldoli reserved forest following the incidents of firing by the Naga miscreants .

DIG-Border, DIG-Central Western Range, district Deputy Commissioner and the SP discussed the border issue and vowed to get tougher with the miscreants from across the border.

Anti-socials have been occupying several hundred hectares of the Reserve Forest and were periodically firing on security personnel at Sankertilla, Kasiram,Lahorijan and Rangapa BOP areas.

Nine cases were registered in this connection at the Diphu Police Station and 55 persons arrested since then. But the miscreants are still active.
