Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that the eviction drive would not halt until and unless the illegal settlers are not evicted at all.
Talking to reporters on Wednesday, Gogoi said that not even a single illegal settlers would be spared. He made it plain and simple that the entire drive against the rampant encroachment in the wetlands and hill tops would be carried out as per the law.
District administration officials told Assam Times that altogether 46 pucca and huts were demolished apart from 21 temples ad mosque and 35 boundary walls to clear 14 bighas of land.
