APSC defers CC (Mains) exams

The Assam Public Service Commission has called off the combined competitive examination (mains) slated for Saturday to select the candidates for ACS, APS and allied services, a day after the commission mired in controversy over the alleged leak of question papers.

The decision was taken after commission’s chairman SK Paul called on Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in the afternoon.

According to the commission, the new schedule would soon be announced.
