KPLT withdraws poll diktat

Finally, it’s a respite for voters in Karbi Anglong district.

KPLT has withdrawn indefinite bandh call from Friday. This will enable the voters to exercise their franchise in the Lok Sabha polls on Saturday.

The Karbi Peoples' Liberation Tigers (KPLT) militant outfit called for an indefinite bandh since April 8 in the Karbi Anglong district under Autonomous District (ST) demanding immediate creation of a separate autonomous state.
