Union minister and Lakhimpur Congress candidate Ranee Narah has casted his vote after the first phase of Lok Sabha polls began on Monday morning.
Accompanied by her husband Bharat Narah, she arrived in the No 150 Boginodi polling both where she exercised her franchise at 8 in the morning.
Later talking to reporters, she said that her victory is sure and that she has not seen any strong rival candidates to be reckoned with.
Altogether 14,24,008 voters are exercising their franchise to decide on the fate of 13 candidates.
Narah is seeking fresh mandate to lock in a keen contest with BJP state president Sarbananda Sonowal.
AGP candidate Hari Prasad Dihingia is no less popular in some pockets.
