Sivasagar gears up for PM’s visit

Congress workers in Jorhat Lok sabha constituency are working with redouble vigour a day before prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s poll campaign on Saturday.

Dr Singh, who represents Assam in Rajya Sabha is scheduled to arrive in Jorhat at 11 in the morning and would straightly leave for Sivasagar by a helicopter where he would attend poll rallies in Sivasagar and Mahmora to campaign for Bijoy Krishna Handique.

Then he is scheduled to address another poll rally at Khumtai in Golaghat in the afternoon.  

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and APCC president Bhubneswar kalita are also scheduled to attend the meeting.
