Amid tight security police have admitted Akhil Gogoi to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital following his complaint of back ache.
The complaint was not new. But police rushed the KMSS president to the GMCH on Friday morning a day after they received sessions court instruction to ensure better treatment.
His supported thronged the GMCH premises to get a glimpse of their leader at around 11 in the morning.
Gogoi was arrested on March 2 wee hours in connection with the sensational self immolation case in Dispur. After five days in police custody, he was remanded to judicial custody in a number of cases.
