Huge crowd greet Rahul Gandhi

Defying NDFB-S diktat, over 25,000 people thronged the Kamala Kanta Khetra in Biswanath Chariali in Sonitpur to attend Rahul Gandhi’s rally on Thursday.

Accompanied by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, APCC president Bhubneswar kalita along with several other senior party officials, the AICC vice president arrived at the rally at 1-45 in the afternoon.

In their speeches, Kalita and Gogoi said that only Congress party has the ability to ensure good governacne and sustainable development across the country.

Both the said that the state has been progressing only with the Congress government at the state and the Centre.

They sharply criticized AGP and BJP saying that these parties have hardly any goodwill towards the poor people.   

Notably, NDFB-S called for 12 hours Soniptur bandh on Thursday and threatened to disrupt Rahul Gandhi’s poll rally.
