Prohibitory order issued in Chirang district

Prohibitory order under section 144CrPC has been issued by the Addl. District Magistrate, Chirang Sailendra Kr. Das, against the every possibility of breach of peace and tranquility among the people of various communities causing danger to human life and property. The order prohibits from using all types religious places, educational institutions including their grounds for election meetings, rallies etc. of the political parties and candidates along with shouting of slogans, assembly of five or more persons in public places, pillion riding on two-wheelers and carrying illegal arms/lathis/dao etc, use of loudspeaker without permission within the district of Chirang round the clock w.e.f 24th of May, 2014 and shall remain in force until further order. Women, children, magistrates on duty, aged and infirm persons have been exempted from the purview of this order.
