BJP candidate Joiram Engleng has submitted nomination papers to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Diphu as BJP candidate.
Accompanied by hundreds of party workers, the former Congress leader arrived at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Diphu at 11 in the morning where he submitted his nomination papers before the returning officer.
CPI-M candidate Pratima Inghi also filed her nomination papers at 11-30 in the morning.
AK Rengma also filed nomination papers before the returning officer in the morning as an independent candidate on the last day for filing of nomination papers for the second phase of Lok Sabha polls slated for April 12.
