Padma hints at pull out

AGP MLA from Sootea Padma Hazarika is likely to quit the party a month after he was suspended for refusing to toe on the party line in the Rajya Sabha polls.

Talking to reporters on Tuesday, Hazarika said that his partymen have been asking him to quit AGP. “But formal decision has yet to be taken. Let them know me their decision soon,,” said Hazarika.

Hazarika further said that he won’t appeal to the party leadership to forget his suspension.

On the other hand, he made it plain and simple that he won’t help Joseph Toppo win in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Recently, party leadership indirectly asked Hazarika to apply for withdrawal of suspension against him.
