Resentment in Dibrugarh BJP

BJP has yet to announce the Lok Sabha poll candidate for Dibrugarh. But discontent is simmering among the party activists.

A huge number of party workers openly criticized the move to field Bhabesh Sarma from the crucial Lok Sabha seat this time.

Talking to Assam Times, a section of the party workers said that they would not cooperate Sarma who is a dark horse within the party.

They want Prasant Phukan as their candidate from Dibrugarh saying that Phukan has a strong network in the party’s grass root level.
