Zubeen now brand ambassador in agriculture

Guwahati: Youth heartthrob Zubeen Garg will be the brand ambassador of the state's agriculture sector to uplift the back of the economic health.

The popular singer formally agreed to accept the stint as he called on state agriculture minister Atul Bora in Guwahati on Saturday.

The singer called on Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal two weeks back where he got the proposal informally.

His acceptance of the proposal assumed significance since he opposed tooth and nail BJP's CAA and urged the people to dislodge the Sonowal government which drew a huge response.

The singer was not available for comment on the question of his stiff opposition to CAA and promised to lead a new political party.
