Anti-CAA leader joins BJP
In a setback to the people who oppose the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 one more leader of the movement has joined the ruling BJP. Arunjyoti Moran, the outgoing president of the All Assam Moran Students' Union, on Wednessday formally joined the ruling party.
Along with him, some Congress workers also joined the BJP in a meeting organised at its office. State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass welcomed the new comers to the party.
Das claimed that the opposition parties are spreading misinformation about the ruling party and people could understand it on and on.

Union Home minister P Chidambaram today expressed his satisfaction over the law and order situation of Assam. Two hardcore anti-talk faction of NDFB cadres were killed at Misarai in Sonitpur district of Assam today May 24 in an encounter with the security forces. A pistol, two mobile phones and two bicycles were recovered from the slain ultras. They were not identified yet.Another cadre of this militant was killed yesterday in same district. Four rhino poachers were killed on May 21 at the Kaziranga National Park in an encounter with forest guards. The encounter took place at Mihirmukh in the Kohara range during the time of a daily vigil by the guards. One .303 rifle was recovered from them. Mentionable that at least thirty five rhinos lost life in the hands of poachers in the last four years.
