ULFA(I) cadre arrested

The city police arrested an ULFA(I) cadre on last night from the Panjabari locality.

Acting on a tip-off the police nabbed him from near the Srimanta Shankardeva Kalakeshtra at around 9pm.

According to police the cadre has been identified as Bitopan Sonowal of Dibrugarh. He came the city for  subversive activities on or before the arrival of PM Narendra Modi, sources revealed.

Today, a local court remanded him for two days police custody.
