Two more products facing ban

Stunned by startling revelations, Dispur on Thursday banned two products for containing Benzoic acid and fluoride.
Two products - Annapurna Chilly sauce and Niyor Packaged Drinking Water -were banned for an initial period of thirty days.

Sources told Assam Times that acting on the inputs from food analyst and the director of Referral Food Laboratory in Ghaziabad , the government clamped ban on the two products with immediate effect.

Manufactured by M/S Satez Agro Products Private Limited in Assam, Annapurna Chilly sauce was found to have Benzoic acid above the maximum permissible limit.

Niyor Packaged Drinking Water, manufactured by M/S Blue Bell Enterprise in Assam, was found to contain Flouride higher than the maximum permissible limit.
