Three buses seized
Three passenger buses were detected by sale taxes official and staffs in a search operation along the 31C national high way this morning at Patgaon in Kokrajhar district today. The buses carrying dry supery ceating government taxes for Siliguri of West Be from Guwahati.
The three buses which were on way for Siliguri carried dry supery ceating govt taxes bearing registrations-AS01BC-8292, AS01CC-4622, AS01Q-0045.
Sale taxes officials seized buses along with 150 packets of dry supery (each packet carries 50 kgs) and market value would be about 30-35 lakhs.
Dipen Das, superintendent of taxes, Kokrajhar told that they carried out search operation operation since yesterday night and able to detect the busses which were brought goods instead of passengers.
Manoj Pandey, inspectorbof taxes said they have been intensified their checking as passenger buses are carrying goods without paying govt taxes.
