Sundaram to investigate SP EAC scuffle

Lower Assam Commissioner SS Meenakshi Sundaram has started investigation into the alleged scuffle between Kokrajhar SP Rajen Singh And EAC Sailen Das recently at Gaurang Valley Hotel Kokrajhar.

Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal ordered an enquiry into incident after CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media.

Sundaram arrived at Kokrajhar Circuit House on Sunday for investigation into the case.

He visited Gaurang Valley Hotel where the incident took place at a party hosted by district administration, Kokrajhar on September 9.

He met both the SP Rajen Singh and EAC Sailen Das regarding the incident. He also met Kokrajhar DC Partha Pratim Majumdar.

Talking to the media, Sundaram said that "The enquiry is to be fair and impartial with authentication into viral information".
