Silent death of a tall figure

Dr. Takiuddin Saikia is no more. He died a silent death on April1 last. Born in 1935 in Sivasagar, Dr Saikia did his graduation from Assam Veterinary College. Apart from it, he   did his Certificate Course in Agri-Marketing in Australia which brought pride and glory for Assam.

He was always known for his perfection and dedication towards his work. Dr Saikia retired as Director, Institute of Farm Management, Rani, Assam Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Assam in 1993. He is left behind with three sons and a daughter. May his soul rest in peace.
