Samujjal thrashes Modi Govt

AASU leader Dr Samujjal Kumar Bhattacharya Saturday thrashed the BJP-led Government at the Centre alleging that Assam will have to brear the brunt of the recent set of policies.

Addressing a AJYCP-sponsored conclave in Guwahati, the AASU adviser said that need of the hour is a massive agitation to prevent the Centre from implementing the anti people policies. "The narendra Modi Government at the Centre has been concentrating on cleaning on the river Ganga. But it has never tried to tame the might Brahmaputra," said Dr Bhattacharya.

He said that never the people of Assam will be a mute spectator if the Centre wants to rehabilitate the Hindu nationals of the neighbouring countries. "We won't allow the Centre to make Assam a dustbin, we won't allow the government to auction the oilfields," said the AASU leader.

Presided over by AJYCP president Biraj Kumar Talukdar, the convention strongly advocated a massive protest against the recent decisions.
