Rainwaters mar Durga Puja in Guwahati

A heavy downpour in Guwahati seemed to have marred the Durga Puja festivity on Saturday. Parts of the city have come under floodwaters following incessant rain that lashed the city for nearly two hours. Much to the utter disappointment of the pendal hoopers, a good number of puja pendals have come under rain waters in Lachit Nagar, Nabin Nagar, Chandmari, Zoo Road, Ganeshguri. Moreover, the rain waters have flooded parts of the GS Road causing much inconvenience for the people from Saturday morming.
