Mukul Mahanta passes away

GUWAHATI:Eminent engineer and social activist Mukul Mahanta passed away at his Guwahati residence on Wednesday.

Mahanta was 80 who suddenly died in the wee hours. Mahanta, an engineer by profession was known for his innovation outside the nation.

He was one of the members in the Peoples' Consultative Group set up by ULFA to broker peace with the government.

Many organizations and individuals have deeply condoled his death and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
