Mohilary takes stock of flood in Chirang
The Chief of BTC Hagrama Mohilary today visited Chirang district to assess the damages caused by the recent flood in the district.
In this regard, he held meeting with the district administration and interacted with the district heads of the departments in the conference hall of the DC's office here. After taking stock of the damages from all departments, he asked the officials to submit details assessment reports touching everything lost due to flood for restoration and mitigation of demages for sanctioning fund from the Central Govt. He said that the demages was not only caused by the Rivers-Aei, Champa and Manash but also with its tributaries like Kanamakra, Taklai, Nangalbanga etc. therefore, he asked the concerned departments to conduct proper survey at different areas and submit the reports of the demages within a month so as to move with the Govt.
The Chirang DC Mazumdar had informed that the total fund required for restoration of damages in the district was more than 30 crores.
Mohilary was accompanied by MP Biswajit Daimary, MLA Chandan Brahma, BTC EMs Syam Sundi, Jagdish Sarkar, BTC Principal Secretary Anupam Kr. Ray, Secretary Carol Narzary.
