MLA visits flooded Salakati road

Former Assam minister and Kokrajhar East MLA Pramila Rani Brahma visited at the eroded Salakati - Kokrajhar road and washed out of crop and houses due to the incessant rain flood waters early this morning in Kokrajhar. 

The Salakati and Kokrajhar road was totally washed out and eroded flood by  waters at Haloadal village due to Tarrang River eroded river bank and crossed the main  PWD road early this morning following heavy rain. The flood waters also broke fishery tank of the villagers at Haloadal where villagers deployed over 10 quintiles of small fishes. 

Several villages in the district like Dahalapara, Titaguri, Kokrajhar main town including ward number 8, Santinagar, Vivekananda, Shukanjhora, Kantalguri were covered with floodwaters and residents have to shift to upper places to take safe. 

Brahma told that flood waters damaged several property and crops of the common  publics in the region. 

She has urged govt to take stern step to make peoples free from flood water problems. 

Villagers demanded relief materials to the flood affected peoples.
