Meet on NRC meet on Monday
Delhi and Dispur are gearing up to finalise the NRC updating process. A meeting between the State Government and the Centre will be held in Delhi on Monday to kick-start the process.
Dispur is in a process to increase the number of foreigners tribunals for expediting the detection and deportation of illegal foreigners through the judicial process.
An advisory council with Justice KN Saikia, PK Chaudhury and Sankar Barua has been formed on the issue of NRC and illegal foreigners living in the State.
