KPLT militants killed in gun fight

Security forces claimed to have killed 2 dreaded Karbi Peoples Liberation Tiger insurgents at an encounter in Karbi Anglong district on Saturday.

The encounter took place in the morning when police and army launched a counter offensive against the Karbi militants Rongtaru. Police nabbed another KPLT militant after the two hour long encounter. Two AK-47 rifles and one pistol were recovered from the slain cadres.
