Himanta’s rendezvous with AGP

 Amid an escalating political temperature Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma held a secret meeting with top AGP leaders in Guwahati on Monday.

Convened at the residence of a Gauhati University teacher at Hatigarh area at night, the meeting was believed to have discussed the floating of a new party of dissident Congress leaders to be backed by the AGP.

AGP president Atul Bora along with Ramendra Narayan Kalita and Keshab Mahanta attended the meeting with Dr Sarma who was believed to have been preparing to quit Congress.
