Full scale eviction drive in Guwahati

A tough kamrup (metro) district administration is on a full scale drive to evict the illegal settlers on the Bharalu river bank. Teams comprising executive magistrates, GMDA, GMC and water resources development department officials are carrying out the drive from Monday morning.

The eviction drive began from Bhangagarh area where hundreds of huts were dismentled evoking sharp reaction from many sections of the people.
