Flood waters inundate areas in Saralpara

Several villages in greater Saralpara area along the Indo Bhutan border in Kokrajhar district were severely affected today due to heavy flood water from Sarpang River of Bhutan.

The river water reaching in the villages above the danger level affected since late last night following incessant rain since few days back in the region.The flood water is creating resented among citizens, besides eroded river bank and damages properties. Villagers have to take shelter at safe places to get rid of flood, said a flood affected person.

'No any govt official and local administration reach so far to take stock about situation', he added. Gaurang River's water was also saw huge wave following incessant raining in the district.
