Exit not to hurt Cong: Gogoi

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi called Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma an able political leader 24 hours after his former man Friday unofficially joined BJP.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Monday, Gogoi said that he did many thing at the initiative of Dr Sarma whom he gave good chances.

“Yes, I wanted him in Congress. His exit won’t put Congress in dire straights,” he said.

Victory of Congress in the Tiwa Autonomous Council election has proved that the popularity of Congress Govt is on the upswing.
