The Bodos want peace. The Bodoland issue needs to be settled at the earliest. The talks with the insurgent groups should resume.

These were the main demands Union home minister Rajnath Singh listened to in New Delhi when he met a joint delegation of All Bodo students Union(ABSU), Peoples Joint action Committee for Boroland Movement(PJACBM), Bodoland peoples progressive Front(BPPF) and United Democratic People’s Front(UDPF) on Monday.

In a memorandum, they further demanded dissolution of the G K Pillai committee. In a press release ABSU hoped that the BJP led NDA government would find out a breakthrough.
