Death of girl shrouds in mystery

HANTIGIRI NARZARY, KOKRAJHAR: The mysterious death of a 16 year old girl creates no less sensation in Chirang district during the last three days.

Identified as Pohila Narzary, she was missing since Tuesday afternoon when she went out to recharge her mobile phone. Her body was recovered on Wednesday from Bengtal Balapara Amlaibada area. But police have yet to arrest the culprits involved in the incident.

All Bodo Women’s Welfare Federation strongly condemned in the incident and slammed the police for failure to nab the perpetrators. ABWW president Mithinga Basumatary said that it was very unfortunate incident killing of a girl in the district.

She alleged that government and district administration has failed in providing security to the girl and women in the state.
