CID questions agri director

A CID team probing the multi crore scam in the agriculture department questioned director to extract more information on Tuesday.

The five member CID team questioned director Juri Phukan for a couple of hours relating to the anomalies' in fertilizer  seed procurement and distribution.

They further sought some crucial files at the Krishi Bhawan to carry out the probe into the Rs 700 crore scam which took place during the erstwhile Congress government.

CID had already arrested a few officers and contractors in this connection.
