CBI arrests Manoranjana Sinh

The Central Bureau of Investigation probing the Saradha scam has arrested media baron Manoranjana Sinh on Wednesday. The former managing director with North East Television has been arrested in Kolkata where she was interrogated for several hours for her alleged involvement in the multi crore chit fund scam. The CBI team will produced before the metropolitan court on Thursday.

The jailed Saradha chief Sudipto Sen in her purported letter alleged to have paid for over Rs 20 crore to Sinh to set up a channel in Guwahati. CBI and ED have separately grilled her several times in Kolakta and New Delhi.
