Bomb blast in Sivasagar

A powerful grenade explosion has left one person injured in Sivasagar town on Tuesday.

The explosion took place at a house in Station Chariali at around 11 in the morning. Identified as Raju Ali, the injured has lost one of his hands under the impact of the explosion.

The bomb was believed to have been brought to explode on the Republic day and was kept inside the house.

Security forces rushed to the spot and sent the injured Ali to the Assam Medical College Hospital.
