Adivasi killer held in Chirang

Security forces captured yet another dreaded NDFB (Songbijit) militant in Chirang district on Wednesday who was involved in the gory Adivasi massacre in 2014. Identified as Saranjoy Musahary, who was involved in the Adivasi carnage was held by a joint team of police and CRPF from Patabari area in the wee hours during a combing operation by Police and CRPF's Cobra battalion. He was believed to have killed at least ten Adivasi people in Lungsung forest area in Kokrajhar district in December last year.

Police further seized a grenade was from the Myanmar-trained militant. Musahary joined NDFB(S) in 2012 who was attached with 37th batch of the underground outfit.
