ABSU stages protest against Maibong incident

KOKRAJHAR: Hundreds of ABSU leaders and workers took out a candle light protest in Kokrajhar on Sunday evening in protest against the Maibong incident where two protesters were killed in police firing.

The participating protesters demanded an impartial probe into the police firing incident, action against guilty officers apart from adequate compensation for the deceased families.

Several prominent citizens and political leaders joined the candle light protest.
