Sonowal talks Nagalim issue with Rajnath

NEw DELHI: Amid an escalating protest over the Centre' preparedness for Nagalim settlement even by compromising territorial integrity with Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur, Sarbananda Sonowal hunkered down with Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Monday where Nagalim issue was believed to have dominated.

Sonowal learnt to have apprised the Union home minister of the increasing protest in the nook and corner of the against the alleged move to create the Nagalim at the cost of Assam. He further tried yo convince Singh of his government's stand on the issue.

NRC issue also cropped up in the 30 minute long minute between Sonowal and Singh where the chief minister elaborated his government's preparedness to deal with the situation in the wake of the publication of the NRC draft.

Later, in a social media status, the chief minister said that he called on Rajnath Singh where NRC was discussed.
