Bridge of death

The pot holed and the crumbled bridge  near Nagaon Law College, Haibargaon took the life of on Faruk as he was crossing the bridge sitting in a rickshaw, the tyre of the rickshaw fell in one of the many pot holes in the  small wooden bridge  and the rickshaw toppled and Faruk fell down from the bridge as the railing of the bridge had  already been broken  and fallen off.

The bridge is one of the most important bridges of the town as lagre number of commuters specially school children and others cross it on a daily basis.

The bridge has been closed after the incident.

Over Bridge gets green signal at Nagaon

The residents of Nagaon would get relief from irritating traffic Jams on the Nagaon- Bhuragaon road also known as Dhing Gate as the goverment has sanctioned 21 crores for a railway overbridge to be constructed there. The government has sanctioned Rs 21 Crores for the railway overbridge to be built on the railway crossing in Dhing Gate, Haibargaon. 4 Dead and 20 Injured in bus accident

4 persons were reportedly burnt alive in a head on collision between a Bus and a trailor on NH 37 , Bosapathar village in Kaziranga under Golaghat District at 4: 30 Am today. The Bus was traveling from Tinsukia in Upper Assam to Guwahati and the trailor was traveling from Guwahati to Jorhat . Ride Safe Program organised in Nagaon

A day long 'Ride Safe' program was held at the Garu Field, in Nagaon. The program was flagged off by Mr Nityanad Pathak, in-charge of Nagaon Traffic police. As part of the program , two wheeler riders were imparted the basic skills for riding their bikes safely. The training was imparted to 60 riders by Akhtar Hussain, the Safety Advisor of Hero Honada.
