Bail petitions for Akhil

Two top lawyers have come out to provide legal assistance for Akhil Gogoi who was arrested on Sunday wee hours from his own rented house.

Bijan Mahanjan and Bhaskar Dev konwar have agreed to conduct the cases on behalf of the KMSS president.

He was arrested under Sections 306 and 102(A). These sections are non bailable. But they would formally move the court with a bail petitions.

Legal experts told Assam Times that any bail under this two Sections are not possible but in the same breath, there are rare examples of bail even after arrest under these Provisions.
