5 KMSS activists arrested

Police have arrested at least 5 KMSS activists from different places in Guwahati for trying to disrupt the function organized at Sankardev kalakhetra to distribute land pattas for 500 families on Monday.

Police further claimed to have seized kerosene from their possession for self immolation attempts to foil the land patta distribution function.

A massive security is in place in Guwahati to foil the KMSS agitation for land pattas to the people living in the government land.

Security forces are fanning atop the hills areas in the city looking for the KMSS protesters who are set to hit the streets on Monday.

Bamboo barricades are being brought to Koinadhara, Sankardev Kalakhetra, Dispur Last Gate and SixMile to block the KMSS protestors.

In a tragic road accident that occurred in the Jalukbari area of Guwahati seven engineering students died at spot last night. According to reports, a group of 10 Assam Engineering College (AEC) students traveled in a scorpio car.
