AGP-BJP pact likely

Despite being hardpressed by internal crisis, the Asom Gana Parishad is seriously considering forging alliance with BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The steering body meeting of the regional party on Saturday at its party headquarters formally authorized president Prafulla Kumar Mahanta and vice president Atul Bora to take a final decision on poll pact.

The executive body meeting  on Friday failed to arrive at a consensus on the subject and deferred the decision for Saturday.
