10 more districts on the cards

The Assam Government is seriously considering formation of ten more districts citing stress on congenial governance.

The move to form these new districts and over 30 sub divisions started when the group of ministers set up to deal with the proposal met in Dispur on Friday.

The meeting discussed the criterion for formation of the new districts. If things move on right direction, the state is set to get these new districts before the Assembly polls.
