ABSU rail blockade

Normal train service came to a grinding halt in the lower Assam district on Tuesday when several trains refused to proceed following 12 hour ABSU blockade demanding Bodoland statehood.

Thousands of people in Chirang district blocked the rails in Basugaon in the morning to intensify the Bodoland demand forcing the passenger and goods trains to remain stranded.
