Modi flays lack of vision

BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Saturday deplored that lack of vision and an able leadership have been preventing Assam from developing on all fronts.

Addressing a huge rally in Guwahati, the Gujarat Chief Minister said that tea industry is an energy booster, tourism industry is full of potential. But the state has been lagging behind.

“Had there been an able leadership, the face of Assam would have chaged long ago,” said Modi.

He said, “Vajpayee government gave the state a huge Rs 40,000 crore package. We would give more if we are voted to power.”
