Health check-up concludes at Guwahati Press Club

No major ailment was reported among the media persons who went for a daylong health check-up camp organized by down town hospital today in Guwahati Press Club. However, most of the participants in the health camp were diagnosed with gastrotriches, back pain and spondylitis.

Over hundred participants joined in the health camp, where their BP, blood sugar and also ECG & BMD were checked in need. Doctors from different departments offered consultations to the participants. In an earlier health check-up camp, organized by the down town hospital last year, the physicians witnessed some absurd reading regarding their blood pressure and blood sugar content. However this time all the readings were comfortable for the participants.

Attending the camp for sometime the Chairman & Managing Director of down town hospital, Dr. N.N. Dutta emphasized on regular health check-up for media persons as they have irregular working hours, food intake and excessive stress in their profession. Dr. Dutta also announced a special 'friends of down town' health card for the media person, which would facilitate them to get investigations and treatments in down town hospital in a subsidized rate.

The attending doctors including Dr. R.K. Kalita (Surgery), Dr. Indra Kuladhipati (Cardiologist), Dr. Rupam Das (Diabetologist), Dr. Swapnav Borthakur (Medicine), Dr.Chetan Kabra (Orthopedic), Dr. Dhruba Jyoti Dutta (E.N.T.), Dr. Harsh Vardhan Singh(E.N.T.), Dr. Monti Saha ( Obs. and Gynecology), Dr. Avinanda Mahanta (Resident Doctor), Dr. Pranjal Gogoi (Physiotherapist) with Tinababy Baruah (Dietician) interacted exclusively with the participants.

The nursing staff including Pranami Bordoloi (Nursing Educator), Tara Chettri, Kiran Thapa, Monu Kumari, Balasuklang Nongrum, Badashisha Dkhar, Vanessa Wahlang, Hemaprova Borah, Maphisha Marbaniang, Idashisha Kharmalki, Rodiala Kharbuli etc and official staff including Jahidur Rahman (Manager Marketing), Mayuri Borah (PRO), Sajal Sinha (Marketing Officer), Pulakesh Gogoi (Marketing Executive), Ramen Boro (ECG Technician) helped the physicians in their screening process. Dr. Udayan Barua (Medical Superintendant), Mayurakshi Dutta (Executive Director) and Gariasi Dutta (Psychological Counselor) also graced the program for a brief period.
