Thousands of north east students hit the streets in New Delhi on Saturday demanding exemplary punishment for the goons involved in the Lajpatnagar incident where a student from Arunachal Pradesh were beaten to death on Thursday.
With banners and festoons, over three thousand youths took out a protest rally in the Market place area in Lajpotnagar demanding justice for Nido Tania, the son of MLA in Arunachal Pradesh.
They further criticized the Delhi government alleging lack of prompt action against the accused youths. Notably, Tania was beaten to death by the goons in the Lajpotnagar area following a mild altercation.
On Friday night they staged dharna in front of the Lajpotnagar police station demanding immediate arrest of the miscreants.
