KMSS occupies Lohia plot

In a historic happening, thousands of people acquired a huge plot of land in the outskirt of Guwahati belonging to a businessman who owned it for industrial purpose.

Led by Krishak Mukti Sanggram Samiti, the local residents in Khetri thronged the huge plot of 38 bighas belonging to Bajrang Lohia alleging that the entire cultivable plot is set to be used in industrial purpose.

KMSS president Akhil Gogoi told reporters that these plots would be distributed among the landless local people in Dimoria.

The historic initiative took place a day after Gogoi warned a circle of powerful businessmen to hand over their plots in question to be used by the landless and flood –affected lot.
