Sainik School Alumni donates blood in Mumbai

The alumnus of Sainik School Goalpara residing in Mumbai and Pune also known as Old Boys Association, Sainik School Goalpara - Chapter West (OBASSG WC), in collaboration of Bombay Hospital, had organized a blood donation camp at Assam Bhavan, Mumbai on 22nd Dec 2013. This Blood donation camp was organized for the benefit of the Cancer patients of Assam who travel to Mumbai for treatment. The alumnus of school in their recently held annual get-together cum AGM on November has decided to work towards helping the cancer patients of Assam who come to Mumbai for treatment. As a first step; this Blood donation camp was organized where the alumnus as well as few local residents donated blood. As part of the collaboration with Bombay Hospital, the association (OBASSG WC) would be entitled to get blood for the needy cancer patients for next two years from the blood bank. Dr. Jyoti Prasad Medhi- an alumni of the school-who is a cancer surgeon at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai would be the contact person for the helping the patients in this regards.

The association (OBASSG WC) request all the needy patients to contact them through the Association’s parent Office in Guwahati in this regards. This was stated in a press release by Kuldeep Roy, Secy of the western chapter of the Association.
