Rowing competition at Guwahati
3rd Inter-District Rowing Championship will be flagged off at 7A.M. December 25 in Dighalipukhuri, Guwahati. It will be hosted by the Guwahati Rowing Association under the aegis of Assam Boat Racing & Rowing Association. Altogether 7 districts will be participating in the event. The Closing Ceremony is on the December 26.

The 3rd All Assam Challenger Sprints and 4th Inter-District Rowing Championships concluded on Friday. Dr. J.B. Ekka, IAS was present as the Chief Guest in the closing Ceremony. Guwahati Rowing Association dominating the Championships from the start and emerged as the best District followed by Sivasagar and Kamrup (R). The best Male Rower of the year is Nixon J Brahma of Guwahati, Best Female Rower is Anangcha Das of Guwahati and the promising player goes to Sudarsan Konwar of Sivsagar.
Nafisa Sadiq has made the state proud by winning the maiden silver medal in the recently concluded 19th Asian Jr. Rowing Championship held at Samarkand, Uzbekistan in October followed by a gold medal at 34th Junior Nationals held at Roorkee, Uttarakhand from in November. Assam Boat Racing & Rowing Association has felicitated her at Dighalipukhuri on Sunday.The Association announces it's 3rd All Assam Challenger & 4th Inter-District competitions on December 25-26 at Guwahati.
